To be eligible for Head Start, a child must be three years old by September 30th of the year they apply. Up to 90% of families must meet Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. For full-day child care, the family must meet Department of Social Services and are required to have: (1) Criminal background check of all staff (2) CPR/First Aid certification of all staff (3) Eight hours of other training per year for each staff member (4) Fire and health site inspections.
